Fall Welcome

As the leaves begin to change colors and a briskness starts to fill the air, it is with great pleasure that we extend a warm welcome for the fall term.

This term, we continue the honored traditions of academic excellence with the promise of impactful journeys that will lead to a unique Penn experience.  At the cornerstone of this journey lies our mandate, “to extend the frontiers of knowledge in materials science and engineering through intellectual leadership in education, research and scholarship.”

We believe that education will unlock endless opportunities to provide solutions to encumbered pathways. The instruction and mentoring that our faculty provide form the foundation of academics and research required for our next generation to excel in the field of materials science and engineering. We hope that within the Penn MSE experience we instill the proper balance of academics, growth, and wellness that will allow you to thrive, explore and excel.
